Tools & Materials You’ll Need
Roomline skirting boards (Chamfered or Ogee)
Internal and external corner joints
Contact adhesive (e.g. Pinkgrip or similar)
Fine-toothed saw or mitre saw
Tape measure & pencil
Cleaning cloth

How to Install Roomline Skirting Boards
1. Measure and Mark
Start by measuring your wall lengths. Sketch a quick layout so you know where joints and corners will go. Planning ahead will save you time later.
2. Cut to Size
Use a fine-toothed hand saw or mitre saw to cut each board to length. The lightweight uPVC is easy to handle and trims neatly without splintering.
3. Fix the Corners First
Begin with an internal or external corner. Apply contact adhesive (we recommend Pinkgrip or similar) to the back of the jointing piece and press it into place.
4. Apply Adhesive and Press
Now apply adhesive to the back of your first skirting length and press it into place. Make sure it fits snugly against the corner moulding.
5. Continue Along the Wall
Slot the next length into the corner joint and repeat the process. Roomline’s clever system ensures a clean, seamless join every time.
6. Final Touches
Give the boards a wipe with a damp cloth to remove any adhesive marks or dust. No painting, sealing, or filling needed – that’s the beauty of Roomline.
Installation Tips
No mitre block needed – Roomline’s corners eliminate fiddly angles.
Always start from a corner and work outwards.
Boards can be installed before or after flooring – your choice.
Use matching architrave for a full-room finish.
