⚠ Appearance Notice – Watermarks & Colour Fade
Eco Fencing is manufactured using recycled composite materials. During production, the boards are heated and cooled, which can result in:
-
Subtle watermarks or blotchy patterns
-
A slightly sweaty or patchy finish when unwrapped
-
Natural shade variation from board to board
-
☀ These are not faults. Once installed and exposed to sunlight and fresh air, they fade naturally and blend into a consistent finish.
About Colour Fading
Like timber, composite fencing will fade over time due to UV exposure and weathering.
This colour change is expected, does not affect performance, and is not considered a fault.
We explain this clearly to help you order with confidence and avoid unnecessary returns.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Eco fencing made from?
Eco fencing panels are made from recycled PVC-U composite material, designed to replicate the appearance of timber while offering much greater durability.
Unlike timber fencing, Eco fencing will not rot, warp, or require regular painting or treatment.
How does Eco fencing work?
Eco fencing uses 300mm high composite boards that stack between fence posts to create the required fence height.
For example:
Fence Height Panels Required
4ft 4 panels
5ft 5 panels
6ft 6 panels
7ft 7 panels
8ft 8 panels
Most UK garden fences are 6ft high, which requires 6 panels stacked between posts.
Can Eco fencing fit into existing concrete fence posts?
Yes. Eco fencing panels are designed to slot into standard concrete fence posts, making them an excellent upgrade from traditional timber fence panels.
Many customers simply remove their old wooden panels and replace them with Eco fencing boards.
What widths are Eco fencing panels available in?
Eco fencing panels are available in two widths:
6ft (1.8m) – the most common UK fence bay size
8ft (2.4m) – ideal for longer fence runs with fewer posts
Does Eco fencing fade over time?
Like most outdoor composite materials, Eco fencing may naturally lighten slightly over time due to UV exposure.
This is normal and expected. The colour gradually settles into a consistent natural finish and does not affect the strength or lifespan of the fence.
Does Eco fencing need painting or treatment?
No. One of the biggest advantages of Eco fencing is that it requires no painting, staining, or treatment.
Occasional cleaning with water is usually all that's needed to keep it looking its best.
Is Eco fencing stronger than timber fencing?
Eco fencing panels are very strong and weather-resistant, and unlike timber they:
-
won't rot
-
won't split or warp
-
aren't affected by moisture in the same way as wood
This makes them a long-lasting alternative to traditional timber fencing.
Do I need new fence posts?
Not always.
Eco fencing can be installed:
• Into existing concrete posts
• With matching composite posts
If installing new posts, they are typically set 600mm into the ground with concrete for stability.
How long does Eco fencing last?
Composite fencing systems like Eco fencing are designed to last many years with minimal maintenance, significantly longer than typical timber fence panels.
What colours are available?
Eco fencing is available in three colours:
• Graphite Grey
• Natural
• Walnut
All accessories and posts are colour-matched to create a consistent finished fence.
