Chartwell Green earns its keep on the properties where white uPVC never sat right — cottages, farmhouses, anything with a bit of age or a rural setting. It's a deep, traditional green rather than a bright racing green, and it sits comfortably against brick, render, and natural stone without fighting for attention. If you've been putting off a roofline job because "white just wouldn't look right on this one," this is usually the colour that solves it.
It's still uPVC underneath, so you get everything that comes with that: no rot, no repainting, no annual maintenance beyond an occasional wipe down. The green isn't paint — it's a foil laminated onto the board, so it doesn't chip, fade, or need touching up the way a painted timber fascia would.

Eurocell Chartwell Green Range

A note on lead time. Chartwell Green is a special foil rather than a stock colour, so most branches bring it in rather than holding it on the shelf. Allow 3–10 working days.
Getting the roofline right
Fascia comes in two forms: full replacement board if the old timber's had it, or capping board if you're going over sound existing timber rather than stripping it out. Both run 150mm to 250mm in this colour, with a 450mm double-width board for wider fascias — note there's no 350mm double on the fascia side, only on capping, where you get both 350mm and 450mm doubles as well as the standard run.
For the soffit itself, flat board suits a roof space that doesn't need extra airflow, vented board has the slots built in where building regs call for ventilation on a full re-roof, and hollow board is the double-skinned, tongue-and-groove option that's stiffer over a wide span and leaves less of a visible joint line. Which one you need comes down to your roof type, not personal preference.
The bit people forget when they order: a soffit starter trim (J trim) to hold the soffit's back edge against the wall, a 40mm soffit joint if a run needs joining partway along, fascia corner trim and board joint trim to turn corners and join lengths, and a roofline finial to finish off the bargeboard. Fascia board runs 150mm to 250mm plus a 450mm double-width board — there's no 350mm double in this colour. Capping board covers the same widths plus both 350mm and 450mm doubles. Soffit comes as flat board from 100mm to 400mm, vented board from 150mm to 300mm, and 300mm hollow board.
Is Chartwell Green the same as British Racing Green or Forest Green?
No — all three sit quite differently. Chartwell Green is the muted, slightly grey-toned heritage green you'll recognise from National Trust ironwork and period garden furniture. British Racing Green is much darker and richer — think classic Jaguars and Aston Martins. Forest Green is brighter and more natural, closer to woodland leaf colour. If you're matching an existing green feature on the property, hold a sample against it before ordering — the three get mixed up a lot but look quite different side by side.
Is this a woodgrain or smooth finish?

Flat soffit is a solid board, used where the roof space doesn't need extra airflow. Vented soffit has slots built in to ventilate the loft space, which building regs often call for on a full re-roof. Hollow soffit is a double-skinned board that clips together with a tongue-and-groove joint — it's stiffer over wide spans and finishes with less visible joint lines. Your roof type and any ventilation requirement decide which one you need.
