The Envirotile slate tile is the same 365mm x 325mm interlocking plastic tile as the standard, with a riven slate face moulded in rather than a smooth surface. From the ground it reads as slate; on the roof it fits like Envirotile – dry-fixed, no cement, about 8.5kg per square metre, down to a 12.5° pitch.
 
It is the tile to use where the main house is slate and the extension or garden room needs to sit alongside it without the weight. Use the slate-profile ridge, hip and gable accessories with it, not the standard ones – they are shaped to the slate face.
 
Ordering and delivery. Envirotile comes out of your nearest Eurocell branch. Orders over £150 are delivered free to site; under £150 delivery is £10. Order the whole roof in one go and add 5–10% for cuts and wastage – it is the top-up order for a dozen tiles that costs you time.
